Week 7
The miracle of student life
This week is a first time that I go to the observation teaching at Ubon Wittayakom School. I have many things to do and This time I want to talk about my first week that I living in the school.
First day
My duty is learning and observing about the general school information. Ubon Wittayakom School has a long history. Then I learning and observing about school philosophy, vision, a mission of the school, color and meaning of that color, school personnel, building and area around the school. Moreover, I introduce myself to my adviser teacher and tell the objective that why I come to the school. so we collaborative planning about the lesson and what things I must do in the school. From the first day, I really tired because everything looks disordered and I still can't remember the building and room.
Second day
My second day going easy. I find the information about the general condition of the community around the school. In the morning I take Care for a student to clean their area. This time is a good time to make a relationship with my student. After that, I have a chance to observe the English class teaching by my adviser teacher.
Third day
This day I have to observe work in a teacher's role. For the example supervise the students to follow the rules in the classroom, student attendance tracking, measurement and evaluation, the lesson plans and innovation etc. From this day I have learned how to prepare myself before teaching. The lesson plan will consistent with the objective of learning. About how to choose the innovation to adapt to your activity let it follow the objective. The innovation is important to give a student learn the full potential and understand the content more. There are many new innovations that we can adapt to our activity. Something can use in the true situation but something can't that follow each classroom. For example, if you want to use the Kahoot to do the activity but in the classroom don't have a projector the activities cannot happen.
Last day
For this day I observe student behavior and then choose the student to write the case study. The student A is 11 years old. She from grade 6. I interest in her behavior. Because she is a diligent, intent to learn or work. She has a responsibility for her duty. She always knows her duty. From the observer, I get a little information. So, For more information, I interview her advisor teacher and then I interview her. The question that I ask her is about personal information, a background of her family health, characteristics and qualification information.
I think this observation is a big work one. How many knowledge and experience that I can touch. Each day made my beautiful life is full. I work so hard at the school and after school, I do homework that I think I don't want to do but It is my duty. Only one thing that made me want to go to the school is a student. The cheerfulness from kids can heal my daily.
